Lil' Explorers Preschool
Our programs are uniquely designed to fit a range of ages
We offer care for infants starting as young as 6 weeks. Our specialized infant room offers a large open space for our youngest explorers to begin getting their feet under them. Because of our large and unique center that was built from the ground up to serve children, our custom design makes for easy transitions for children of all abilities and requirements. As they become more ambulatory, they move up to our toddler room where we increase their self care skills of feeding and hand eye coordination. Our two year old specific classes continue to enhance those skills of independence, but also social interactions of sharing and caring. Self toileting also becomes a focus. Each of our classes are designed for age specific activities and skills. Carefully planning and organization occurs behind the scenes to help build strong classes through pairing personalities and needs of our students with the best fit teacher. Much care and planning go into our roster and our broad base of expertise and experience allow us to find the best fit for your student and family.
Infants
Ages 6 weeks to 18 months
Our youngest explorers may begin our program at 6 weeks of age. Our teachers have specialized college training specific to infant care. Our infant room can accommodate up to 12 infants with separate sleeping, diapering, eating, and play areas. Infants can learn and grow at their own pace in a safe and clean environment.
Toddlers
Ages 18 months to
24 months
As a child grows and becomes more mobile and independent, they advance to our toddler program. Our toddlers begin to learn to self feed. We do art, games, circle time and and outdoor play. With big open spaces and toddler specific equipment, our little toddler explorers are growing and developing rapidly.
Twos
When our children enter the twos classes, they expand their ability to express themselves both verbally and nonverbally. We work closely with parents in the child's potty training process. The parallel play of the toddlers is grown into group play with an emphasis on sharing and expressing our wants and needs with our friends while we improve on our social skills.
Threes
Our three year olds are expanding their horizons and becoming more self aware. They are increasingly following a schedule, self-feeding, self-toileting, and expressing themselves. They are able to learn to increasingly following directions and participate in organized activities, learning critical development and life skills.
School Age
Ages 6 years - 10 years
During the summer school break, we offer a school aged program. The program is fun-filled activity based enrichment classes where we build friendships and deeper understanding of the world we live in through team building exercises. Intertwined with these activities are academic enrichment and a geographic tour of the world.
